【 A British Powerhouse 】 The British Chieftain tank was the successor to the Centurion model, and was produced from 1963. The heavily-armored hull featured sharply-sloped front and turret front faces, while the firepower was provided by the 55-caliber 120mm main gun, which had a range of up to 4 kilometers. The tank could get around 48km/h out of its 750hp 6-cylinder engine. From the Mk.3/3 versions of the vehicle onwards, improvements were made not only to the powerplant, but also in providing laser range-finders and more. Deployment to units began in the latter half of the 1960s and the Chieftain saw action with not only British armed forces but also their counterparts in Jordan, Oman and other Middle Eastern countries. The Chieftain served with distinction on the front line until its replacement by the Challenger.

Length: 424mm, Width: 140mm. ★The model was designed based on extensive study of the actual vehicle, and accurately replicates its form with 120mm main gun. ★The Horstmann suspension system used by the tank is realistically rendered and features horizontally-placed coil springs to generate authentic movement. ★Resin tracks are fitted with rubber pads and come pre-assembled. ★Other movable parts include the searchlight panel on the left of the turret, the turret itself and the crew hatch. ★Side skirts can be removed even after completion of the model. ★Clear parts are included to depict headlights and periscope.
