The Famed Land Cruiser's 1989 Incarnation
Toyota's Land Cruiser is a name familiar to millions across the world. Delving back into its storied history, the 80 series was a rebooting of the range which took place in October 1989. It featured a bulked up body with a great deal more curves than Land Cruiser owners had previously been treated to, but just as importantly, off-road performance had been overhauled too, thanks to a newly-designed chassis and coil sprung suspension that ensured a smooth ride even on rough off-road surfaces. This monster was the first domestic Japanese car to offer a full-time 4WD transmission, a fact that helped endear it to many.
About the Model

Length: 214mm, width: 87mm, height: 79mm. ★The genre-redefining form of the car is captured with great accuracy and aplomb, metal-plated parts included in the kit to recreate the front grill, side mirrors and more. ★The inline-6 diesel engine showcases great detail, and thanks to the inclusion of transparent hood parts, can be admired even after the model is complete. ★The ladder frame, plus front 3-link and rear 5-link suspension setup is authentically depicted, using metal coil springs for realistic movement. ★Tires - including spare - are made from synthetic rubber and feature tread pattern. ★Instrumentation and steering wheel parts are included to create the model as left- or right-hand drive.
