Nissan R89C
Item No:24093
【 1989 Le Mans Contender 】 In order to win the 1989 Le Mans 24 Hours Endurance Race, Nissan came up with the R89C Group C race car. It featured a monocoque chassis made from carbon composite material and was powered by a 3.5-liter twin turbo DOHC V8 engine which produced 800hp. The front-mounted radiator was enclosed in the sleek nose section and the smooth curves of the car's distinctive body extended to the cockpit and tail areas. Nissan entered three of these cars in the 1989 Le Mans, where the No.24 car in particular was among the front-runners early on, but all three were eventually forced to retire due to mechanical issues.
