Coming soon from O.S. Engines is the new 3.5cc R2104 competition nitro on-road engine. The 9-port power plant was developed with this year’s IFRMAR 1/8th Nitro On-road World Championship in mind with an updated liner and piston increasing overall torque while the DLC-coated crankshaft offers improved transition between low and high RPM. The engine also sports a new combustion camber insert with a silicone O-ring, adapted from O.S. Engine’s off-road engines, preventing dust and dirt contamination. The R2104 is rounded off with a new design cooling head in a 2-tone black and red finish with white laser-engraved graphics. Beside the…
Leadfinger Racing have introduced a new heavy duty variant of their popular Strife body shell for the Tekno RC ET410 4WD truck. The new thicker version is moulded from the same material used for Leadfinger Racing’s 1/8th scale bodies, meaning more longevity for racing and bashing applications. As usual the body comes clear, including window masks and a decal sheet.
Coming for the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport is JConcepts’ new 1982 GMC K10 12.3” wheelbase truck body shell. For the early 80’s model year, the iconic square body emerged, a chiseled front-end, gently swept back from the center. Fenders were redesigned as well as the hood and the classic vent windows. A new sloped hood replaced the previous generation hood that had less rake, and the exterior changes include optional headlights and an updated tailgate. Side-markers were now horizontal rather than vertical which is another tell-tale look of the later generation styling. The wheel wells have been scaled to the original…
Ruddog have introduced their new 6500mAh 15.2V 100C Graphene Plus LiHV pack for 1/8th scale applications. Built from high-quality 100C high-voltage LiPo cells the battery offers a high capacity and low internal resistance, ideal for demanding off-road applications and long main finals. The translucent 138x46x48mm hardcase is equipped with 5mm power connectors and an integrated 5-pin XH balancer port, doing away with the fiddly wire balancer ports of most 4S packs. Included with the battery, that weighs in at 560g, comes a balancer adapter for easy charging and storage balancing. The LiHV pack is supplied in a neat reusable packing…
Coming from World Champion Products is the VS Racing VSR03-EV2 3.5cc nitro on-road engine. Based on the O.S. Speed R2103 the super-long stroke engine is developed for high-class competition use and it features a 7-port design, CNC-machined piston and a 14mm “Rody” modified and DLC-coated crankshaft. New to the EV2 variant are optimised modifications to the crankshaft as well as a new combustion camber insert with a silicone O-ring that ensures a cleaner area between the cooling head and the crankcase. The engine is available separately or as combo set including VS2098 or VS2069 exhausts.
Kyosho have revealed first images and information on their forthcoming new MP10T 1/8th scale nitro truggy kit that will hit stores by the end of August. The main chassis is a 3mm 7075 aluminium plate with hard anodising and improved flex characteristics. Engine/fuel tank, servos, RX box and battery box have move forward for optimal weight balance. The MP10 radio plate design features a revised servo position and increased strength with 3.0mm thickness, increased from 2.5mm while side guards – by reducing thickness and height – are a lot lighter than the previous parts while and looking sharp as they…
Following a couple of teasers Protoform have introduced their all-new Turismo body shell. Electric touring car racing has undergone yet another evolution since the multi-national championship-winning Type-S was released in 2017. Catering to the demands of racers needing ultra high-downforce, super low-CG aerodynamic body shells, Protoform is proud to release its latest contender for 190mm touring car racing: the Turismo. Designed and produced using the latest in 3D CAD and 5-axis milling technology, the Turismo is packed with new features for performance on track and ease-of-mounting while preparing to dominate the competition. The aerodynamic features include a radical high-downforce design…
New from Protoform and made for the demanding 1/8th IC Track class is the all-new X-15 body shell. The last four 1/8th IC On-Road IFMAR Worlds Championship winners have relied on Protofornm to finish on the top step of the podium. In their quest for a 5th straight, PF have developed the X-15 race body. The “X-15” name is legendary and carries with it an enduring reputation of innovation, sheer speed and record setting performance. The new body style has been exhaustively tested by Protoform’s world-class team of drivers and has proven to be a step forward in predictable handling…
Serpent have announced the release of their all-new S120 Pro 1/12th scale competition pan car chassis kit. Building on the proven design features of the F110 SF4 formula car, the S120 Pro makes use of the “link-less” design introduced with the SF4, meaning the designers have junked the usual side links in favour of a bearing-supported linear guide system that allows to brake harder and accelerate earlier while offering greater stability and consistency when braking/accelerating and steering input overlap as the rear pod movement is independent from chassis roll.
Performa Racing have introduced their new P1 HMX 10 brushless speed controller for 1/10th scale vehicles. To allow for simpler, more user-oriented tuning, the controller features four different pre-defined settings based on the track condition, doing away with the need to carry a programming box or computer. The four settings have been tuned by Performa Racing’s engineering team together with their World Champion drivers to deliver maximum performance and simplicity. The settings are accessible by simply pressing a button on the switch. For racers that want to dig deeper and fine tune the programs, Performa will offer a PC software…
