Ielasi Tuned have introduced the IDT.21-4CQ 4-port “square” engine. The company’s most powerful off-road engine so far is designed to offer great power at both low and high RPM while the 4-port setup makes for a linear power output and low fuel consumption. The engine comes with a R7 conrod which is machined from light aluminium and ultrasonic-checked for improved reliability. Other features include a selected and matched piston/liner assembly for best possible compression and durability while the carburettor used is a reverse-type Novarossi offering to provide high idle stability, precise tuning and higher mid to top range power. The package is rounded out by a new cooling head with etched Ielasi Tuned logo.

New from Corally comes a 75W soldering station. Featuring a high-power Hakko heating element the station reaches the working temperature fast while the microprocessor-controlled unit allows for easy setup and temperature adjustment in 1 degree Celsius increments. The soldering iron sports a comfortable rubber handle and the soldering tip is replaceable without any additional tools. A sleeping mode and automatic shutdown makes for convenient, economic and secure usage of the station that allows for a temperature range of 200 to 450 degree Celsius or the respective Fahrenheit equivalent.

JConcepts have a range of new front and rear wing for the Team Associated B5 series of buggies available. First up is the 6.5″ Finnisher rear wing for B5M buggies. The wing features a high-attack design with trimable rear gurney options and it offers a radical, edgy design which functions and compliments the Finnisher and Silencer body design. The wing mounts low on the vehicle allowing for a lower centre of gravity which is important in high-grip conditions. The lightweight wing features reinforcement ribs to increase lateral stiffness throughout the centre while the hi-clearance areas built into the side-dams allow for rear tyre movement and growth. Cut lines are included for easy trimming while wing mount dimples are included for a drop-fit onto the popular B5M vehicle.

Based off of the popular Mini 8ight platform is Losi’s forthcoming 1/14 Mini Desert 4WD truck. Loaded with a powerful 4500Kv brushless motor, a 2S LiPo-compatible speed controller and equipped with an uncompromising 4WD drivetrain, this highly capable desert truck can handle nearly anything thrown its way. Included with the car, that also features oil-filled shock absorbers, scale-inspired wheels and a Dakar-style body shell is a 7.2V 1200mAh NiMH battery, a suitable AC wall charger and a 2.4GHz radio system.

Joining the Ultima SC Readyset RTR and competition specification Ultima SC-R kit is Kyosho’s third model in this fast growing series; the Ultima SC6. Based on the 2013 Electric Off-Road World Championship RB6 design, the Ultima SC6 has been modified for optimal short course performance from race data and driver feedback. Superior turning performance from the mid-ship layout, smooth suspension movement with big bore aeration oil shocks and minimal drive loss due to the gear differential all combine to deliver dynamic performance on off-road circuits, especially high-grip surfaces. Equipped with the newly developed Team Orion dDrive 1-piece ESC and brushless motor power unit the Readyset also comes with a newly designed pre-cut and printed body and KT-331P transmitter with LCD screen.

VP Pro have released their latest body shell for theTLR 8ight-E 3.0 electric 1/8th scale buggy. Sporting a distinctive design, the body offers a channelled roof section for improved stability and simplified side pods for a clean design, improved airflow and lots of space for the car’s electric components. Made of high quality 1.0mm clear Lexan polycarbonate material.

Team Corally have introduced improved versions of their famous range of tire traction compounds. Developed in conjunction with World and European Champions to provide the highest level of grip with unprecedented levels of consistency from the start of the race to finish line, careful consideration was given to extending the life of the tire and even though it provides the traction champions require it also claimed to help reduce tire wear. For asphalt there is a green and red sauce for rubber tires and foam tires respectively while for carpet there is blue and yellow sauce again for foam and rubber tires respectively. The sauce comes in 100ml bottles and is supplied with a dauber brush for easy application.

New through Zen Racing in the UK, the Pocket Pit lap counting system uses a small line of sight infrared transponder to send a predefined code to the track side receiver box. The receiver box in turn connects to a mobile device using Bluetooth to automatically count and time your laps using a real time stopwatch within the Pocket Pit app. You can therefore listen to your lap times live as you race using headphones or through your devices speakers. Lap times can be saved with notes enabling you to keep a database of setups for the tracks you race. Currently available for iOS only it requires 3x AAA batteries which are not included.

Zeppin have released this new Voice Lap System which provides accurate lap time measurement to racers in real time. Similar to other systems on the market, you mount the IR transponder to your car and place the receiver next to the track and the system will collect your lap times. The Zeppin system will output human voice lap time announcements through the 3.5mm audio jack, which can be connected to a speaker or wireless audio transmitter (not included) and with 10 channels available you can be sure that you can collect your times even with other systems being used on track at the same time.

Following continuous development of their ET48, Tekno RC have released the ET48.3, what they claim is the new standard in the 1/8th Electric Truggy class. New rear hubs allow the option of using the stock CV axles or upcoming universal driveshafts and they now also offer the rear hubs in aluminium as an option. At the front of the vehicle are new trailing steering spindles and spindle carriers whose components vastly improve high speed bump handling in addition to smoothing out the steering response. The vehicle initiates turns more predictably and finishes corners better than ever before. Larger bearings are also now fitted to the front spindles for improved durability and the spindles will also accommodate the upcoming universal driveshafts.
