For The Win introduce the Nanofox bodyshell for the Kyosho RB6 buggy. Stealth facets that define FTW style are fused with Grand Prix inspiration to cloak an all-business forward cab and impossibly low profile side pods with style. Like all FTW body shells, fitment is immaculate and most popular electronic suites are easily housed inside. The unique side pod profiles provide an ideally positioned air inlet opportunity. The body is formed from clear .030” polycarbonate and fits the buggy in both mid and rear- motor configurations, it includes moulded cut lines for each configuration as well as two .040 Fulcrum wings, a decal sheet, and window masks.

Horizon Hobby introduce the Vaterra Glamis Fear 1/8th 2WD 4-Seater Buggy. Named after the World-famous Glamis site, the El Dorado for all buggy speed junkies, the Glamis Fear resembles a 4-seat tuber-style sand rail buggy. It builds on a tough long wheelbase 2WD chassis and features race inspired suspension components with long-travel shock absorbers, a gear drivetrain with viscous ring differential that avoids tyre spin in corners and an enclosed RC compartment for all-weather drivability. The buggy is powered by a Dynamite 3300kv 4-pole brushless motor and a heavy duty 3S compatible speed controller. Included is a 2S LiPo battery pack with 3S packs being available separately to further up the top speed. The buggy comes factory assembled, including a scale body shell with cockpit and driver figure and a genuine Spektrum DX2L 2.4GHz DSM transmitter.

Arrowmax expand their honeycomb design tool line by several metric and inch size nut driver sets. The 2-piece metric set includes 5.5mm and 7mm variants while the imperial set comes with 3/16″, 1/4″, 5/16″, 11/32″ and 3/8″ drivers. All sport Arrowmax’ distinctive honeycomb design aluminium handles and high quality 100mm long tool tips.

Tekno RC introduce the EB48.2 electric 1/8th off-road buggy kit. The vehicle features many performance and durability enhancing parts such as XT suspension arms, 1.5 degree rear toe plate new 0.5 degree offset insert, new shock cartridges and updated shock bushings. The differentials have been overhauled with new cross-pins and internal gears as well as new straight cut CNC diff ring and pinion gears. The new gears are quieter, smoother and more efficient than previous gears and feature lightweight cutouts to reduce rotating mass. Lightened differential outdrives and the lightened aluminium centre driveshaft are now standard as well. Tekno’s new angled rear gearbox and larger bearings round out the driveline improvements. Up front the EB48.2 features a new HD servo saver spring which helps to keep you pointing in the right direction. Lightened steering posts as well as lightened suspension sleeves help reduce weight without any sacrifice in durability and aluminium hard anodised pivot balls are used throughout in the kit that is available now.

Team Orion introduce the new CRF RS Edition ABI 3.5cc buggy engine. The long stroke engine was used to win the 2013 European Championships and features a new stronger crankcase, a new piston and liner assembly for improved power and durability as well as a redesigned lightweight crankshaft that increased RPM. The 3-port RS Edition comes factory-tuned, with a rear ceramic bearing and a black anodised cooling head for best heat dissipation. The limited edition engine that is issued to celebrate David Ronnefalk’s and Reno Savoya’s success at the ’13 Euros is available as combo set including a suitable pipe or as engine only.

MIP have some new products available in the form of hex driver wrench sets, thread lock and grease portions as well as a sticker set. Starting with the tools, MIP’s legendary SAE standard hex drivers are now also available as a 4-piece set containing .050, 1/16, 5/64 and 3/32 inch wrenches all of which come with no-slip amber-toned polycarbonate grips and hardened tool steel tips. Also coming as a complete set are metric hex wrenches of 1.5mm, 2mm and 2.5mm dimensions. The next somewhat new part is MIP’s blue thread lock gel and red MIP driveshaft grease. Formally part of their CVD driveshaft packages the chemicals are now also available in a handy snap-lid cup ideal to have it handy when building or maintaining CVD driveshafts. Last but not least comes a 6-piece set of new design MIP logo stickers to decorate cars, chassis, bodies, radios, charger and more.

CN Development & Media introduce the Carrocket 1S to 8S LiPo checker. Usable with JST-EH or JST-XH balancer plugs the device is designed to measure and display the single cell voltage of Lithium-Polymer battery packs. Low or over voltage cells are marked by acoustic signals.

Tamiya Racing Factory’s Lee Martin has TQ’d the second round of qualifying at the World Championships in Chico, California. Having suffered a problem with his slipper clutch in Q1, leaving him to post the fourth fastest time, the British ace had no such issues in the second 2WD qualifier, posting a new fastest time .9 of a second up on Q1 non-finisher Ryan Maifield and fellow countryman Darren Bloomfield.  For Q1 pace setter Jared Tebo a wrong choice of shock oil left the Kyosho driver to struggle, a mistake ultimately leaving him to finish outside the Top 10.

Atomic RC have released a first rendering of their AMZ 4WD Mini-Z-sized car kit. The car builds on a carbon fibre main chassis with an upper deck made from the same material. The double wishbone suspension allows for droop, toe and camber adjustment and the shocks come grease-filled to achieve the maximum in traction and side bite. Included with the kit, that is designed for the use with 7.4V LiPo battery packs, comes a 2.4GHz FHSS radio system and a micro brushless speed controller made by Hobbywing. The car is set for a release this Winter.

Yokomo introduce three new brushless speed controllers in the form of the BL-SP3, BL-RS3 +Turbo and the BL-Pro3 +Turbo. While the SP3 with its 8.5T motor limit is more of an intermediate level offering both the RS3 +Turbo and the Pro3 +Turbo are pure competition speedos. The latter two offer an aluminium heatsink case, they are widely adjustable using Yokomo’s optional programming box and it is understood that they offer both a zero timing and a turbo mode making them ideal for blinky, boosted and modified racing alike. All three speed controllers will become available in October and details on specifications and features will be available shortly.
