New from RPM comes this gear cover for the use with VTS clutch equipped Team Associated B4, T4 and SC10 vehicles. The part is modelled after RPM’s iconic gear cover but features additional clearance for the taller VTS clutch while maintaining a sleek and sturdy overall appearance. It is made from hard-wearing nylon material, comes with a super soft slipper access cover and the cover greatly reduces the chance of dirt and debris entering the delicate main and pinion gear area. The cover is available in standard black or blue colour.

Coming end of December is Yokomo’s new YRS Roadster 1/12th scale ARTR kit. The vehicle is based around a direct drive 2WD rear motor monocoque chassis with inline battery mount, direct drive steering and adjustable front suspension parts. The platform shares the tyres and wheels with the Yokomo GT series cars and the 340mm long roadster will become available with a red, yellow or green body in a factory assembled almost-ready-to-run form including a brushed 540-size motor. Coming as an option is also a drive set including a 2.4GHz radio system, servo, brushed speed contoller, LiPo battery and suitable charger.

Serpent have new option parts for the Spyder SRX2 buggy available in the form of aluminium steering parts, vented slipper plates, titanium-nitride coated suspension pins and carbide differential balls. Starting with the steering parts, first up is the steering rack set that is CNC-machined from high quality aluminium. The grey-colour parts make for a flex-free and super-precise steering and included in the kit are two bellcranks and the steering link. The assembly uses the original ball races that come with the buggy kit. Next up are aluminium servo mounts, designed to replace the stock plastic parts the mounts come pre-threaded and grey anodised to fit the remainder of the option parts. Like the steering rack kit the mounts are made to assist with rock solid handling even on high grip surfaces.

Bittydesign have introduced the Nardò 190mm touring car bodyshell. Tested and developed for several months in Italy by their official development team together with German and Finnish team drivers the final result is a bodyshell with different recognisable features, in particular the front and rear tyres area. Testing has shown that the body gives lots of steering on corner entry but at same time plenty of grip and speed in the second part of the turn along with stability under acceleration. Made to meet EFRA specs, it is expected to receive its homologation number in January. Made from 0.75mm thick high quality polycarbonate, the body comes with a complete set of large plastic washers to fix the rear wing perfectly along with steel screws & nuts. Expect the product to arrive at distributors in the next 10 days.

Team Associated introduce the new Reedy pro silicone wire and low-profile bullet-type connectors. Starting with the wire, it was developed to be lightweight and highly flexible while offering efficient current flow at the same time. The thin silicone insulation is yet sturdy enough to withstand the rigours of racing and the wire is available as 1 meter long 12AWG/4mm, 14AWG/3mm and 16AWG/2.7mm variant in any colour you want – as long as it is black. Also new are 14mm long low-profile bullet-type connectors. Coming in a standard 4mm and also new-type 5mm variant the flat top plugs are pre-shaped for easy soldering. They are silver-plated for a low resistance connection and the will become available as pair or 10-piece pack. Last but not least in the line of new electric accessories is a set of coloured shrink tube for motors and speed controllers. The kit contains three pieces each of black, red, blue, orange, and yellow shrink tubing.

Available soon from JConcepts are these Finnisher wing buttons for the RC10 buggy. Wing mounts, typically a plastic unit, can strip easily while trying to tighten the assembly. With the Finnisher aluminium wing buttons and threaded 4-40 holes, bearing down on the set-screw is easier and helps maintain a more standardised position during racing. The buttons, built in a familiar pattern for JConcepts, include a pass-through hole with chamfered edges on the hole exit for a smoother build with the wing wire. Available in blue and black colour options the buttons also fit other (vintage) buggies with wire-type wing mount.

Available now from AKA is the Impact Evo tyre range for 1/10 off-road buggies. Designed to fit AKA’s Evo wheels the tyre features a dense small square lug pattern with offset lug rows in the centre of the tyre to deliver maximum forward traction and good wear characteristics. The two outer rows of lugs are parallel to create a circumferential groove at the edge of the tire to give the tyre very predicable side bite. This allows the car to rotate in the centre of the turn while still feeling very stable and predictable entering and exiting the turn. Available in soft and super soft compounds as tyre with red insert or as pre-mounts on white or yellow Evo wheels.

Yaiba Racing introduce the Ver.2 rear bulkhead assembly for the Kyosho RB6. Designed to fit the mid motor variant of Kyosho’s World Championship winning buggy, the new bulkhead is of a 2-piece design with a red anodised camber link plate and a black anti-roll bar and shock tower mount. The design allows the direct use of Kyosho’s anti-rollbar set while the separate camber link plate makes for easier setup and maintenance. Weighing in at around 19g the bulkhead mimics the kit’s suspension geometry for a drop fit without the need to adjust existing setups.

After teasing the release during the week Team Associated now released full details of the forthcoming B5 and B5M buggy. Starting with the rear motor B5, the kit builds on a slim composite chassis optimised for the use with 2S LiPo saddle or shorty packs. The speed controller and receiver compartment sit right behind the battery, in front of the gear box for optimised weight distribution. The gearbox features stronger gears and a ball differential with 14 carbide balls while the slipper clutch is of the VTS design for improved adjustability.

Made for Team Durango’s 210 series vehicles are Exotek’s new Type B RR aluminium suspension mounts. Machined from high quality material and coming gold anodised the parts are made for the Type B chassis of the DEX210, DESC210 and DEST210 and they sport a slimmer profile for easier hanger swaps and a lighter weight. Available are standard and low roll centre mounts as regular and +0.5 toe-in variant for added rear end bite.
