JConcepts have released the Silencer body for the Hot Bodies D812, a brand-new, ground up design which has new elements created for the highest speed circuits. A narrowed, Finnisher stance cockpit allows more fuel tank access a smoother high-speed transition and increased flow around the engine heat-sink. A deep recess around the heat-sink area with dual channeling out the rear provides air escape along with rear-end stability, while the Silencer side-pods have a clipped rear-end, narrowing the rear by angling just in front of the rear tires. The extended runner features are placed on the rear-end of the body enhancing the force placed on the rear pods during high-speed acceleration. The main pods are heavily chamfered and a more heat-shrink design over the pipe, fuel tank and electrical / linkage make up the main pods. The end result has the body looking extremely low-profile with heavy JConcepts edginess and appeal. The Silencer is capped off with a cock-pit “shark fin” for more high-speed tracking stability and increased roof stiffness.

After many tests F.V.S.S. have introduced their new transmission with 0.8 module. The new gearbox will give you more traction and torque in all conditions, ensuring lower fuel consumption and better corner speed. Available for the new Velox V8 Pro and the Mugen MRX5 it comes in two variants, with an aluminium or steel clutch bell.

After showing the buggy in prototype stages and after many podium finishes in the U.S. and race wins in Russia and Germany JQ Products finally release THEeCAR. The company’s first 1/8th electric buggy kit, something that JQ Products’ mastermind Joseph Quagraine once called as ‘stupid’, is based on the Yellow Edition nitro buggy and uses the same front and rear gearbox assemblies as the noisy & smelly version, with only the chassis, left sideguard, centre diff/motor mount and dogbones being different. The body is also different, but the same one is now used on the wide chassis for the nitro. The buggy is meant to hit the stores as we type.

CN Development & Media introduce the Yuki Model Digital Battery Capacity Checker for 2S to 7S LiPo battery packs. The device can make use of EH and XH balancer plug equipped packs and measures and displays the pack’s overall voltage, single cell voltage, highest and lowest voltage cell and the remaining pack capacity.

New from nVision come two LiPo battery packs in the form of a 3S 3200mAh pack and a 2500mAh receiver battery. Starting with the 3200mAh 11.1V 3S pack, the power source comes in a protective hardcase and is build from 45C high-performance cells. It comes pre-wired with a Deans-style connector and is ideal for 1/10th Traxxas trucks, many off-road vehicles and also run 1/8th buggies on 6S configuration. The second new battery is a 2500mAh receiver pack in 2S2P configuration. Sporting dimensions of 53x30x30mm the pack weights 100g and comes pre-wired with a JR-compatible universal connector.

Yaiba Racing soon release two new option parts for the Team Losi Racing 22 platform in the form of front aluminium C-hubs and an aluminium steering rail. The C-hubs improve the rigidity and durability of the front end and come with 5° of build-in caster. Included in the set are 2mm shims to allow for easy wheelbase changes. Also new is an aluminium steering rail that is designed to replace the kit’s plastic part. The rail features updated inner steering link positions to improve the Ackermann geometry over the standard part. Both the C-hubs and the steering link are available very soon.

Tekno RC have introduced the NB48, a completely new 1/8th nitro buggy built on their EB48 and SCT410 platform. The chassis has ideal weight distribution side-to-side due to creating an all new mid-offset rear bulkhead and ring gear which moves the engine closer to the centre without overloading the right side. It also minimizes drive angles and wear on the center dog bones so the drivetrain is as free as can be without sacrificing chassis layout and weight balance on the very narrow 4mm 7075 CNC hard anodized aluminum chassis. The engine can be mounted in two positions, a front position and an 18mm offset rear position. Under most conditions the motor forward produces the fastest cornering and subsequent lap times while in very bumpy or very loose conditions testing shows the rear engine position can be easier to drive.

JConcepts have introduced the Nissan Titan to their lineup of championship winning Short Course bodies. The exterior of the Titan is built to cater to racer demands with aggressive, high-impact headlight and grille treatment has an unmistakable straight-on look. Included in the front hood design are reverse louvers which are built-in to allow 2 air-escape passages and the famous Nissan front fender treatment has an additional raised section which allows plenty of front tire clearance under load and also functions as an additional air escape feature. The high-performance body has a 1:1 inspired extra-cab with black-out decal to give that elusive side view. A low-profile roof line helps maintain a low center of gravity allowing the truck to transition the turns like a JConcepts heritage design while the bed of the truck is packed with all the Hi-Flow features that have become synonymous in the industry. 2 upper easy to trim Hi-Flow cut-outs chiseled between the built-in and extremely durable number plates combine with the dual channeled air-out spoiler at the base, to finish off a polished air release package.

With the new Futaba 4PLS, modelers can enjoy the benefits of telemetry in two ways. Temperature, voltages and rpm can be monitored in real-time and logged for future reference. Even better, these advantages are included in the 4PLS for the same price as the original 4PL. The 4PLS offers the same value and durability and adds to an already impressive list of high-end racing features.

Hipex have released this low noise 4-chamber EFRA homologated pipe for .12 engines, the only pipe able to effectively get down to the 90 dB level. After extensive testing this is the first effective solution for tracks in trouble for excessive noise without sacrificing performance. The noise reduction is equal to 6 dB and together with the INS box the noise goes down even further without loss of performance. This pipe is a standard in Dutch Nationals and has been used with much success with many satisfied racers. Must be used with the dedicated manifold CL120036 that ensures the correct assembly on your 1/10 car.
