UK Roche distributor Zen Racing has released first images and information on the Rapide P12-2017 1/12th scale pan car kit. The car builds on the 2016 IFMAR World Championships and ROAR Nationals winning car and it utilises a newly designed 2.5mm carbon fibre chassis and rear power pod plate. Other areas that received a make over are the floating servo plate, the front lower aluminium bulkheads, the rear alloy chassis brace and the low centre of gravity motor mount. The rear centre top plates also are of a new design to accommodate the Rolling Friction Adjust System RFAS and included in the kit are furthermore a new big bore centre shock and new diff and clamping wheel hubs that allow the use of M2.5x8mm screws. The kit is rounded out by redesigned alloy side spring mounts and aluminium steering turnbuckles. More information and images should become available in time for the release.

Schumacher Racing, Sanwa distributor in the UK, have introduced the SRG-LS Black low-profile brushless servo. The SSR and High Response mode compatible digital servo features a full metal gear train, double ball bearings, 2-cell HV-compatibility and it comes with a black-colour aluminium middle heatsink. At 7.4V input the SRG-LS pulls up to 12.8kg-cm at a speed of down to 0.08s, making it ideal for 1/10th touring and 2WD buggy applications.

Japanese company GForce have introduced the G6AC 500W 6S-only LiPo charger. Designed especially for the use with 22.2V 6S LiPo packs the device originally targets drone pilots but it is also ideal for racers who use a 6S setup in their electric vehicle. The 500W charge circuit allows for charge rates of up to 20A with the internal balancer making for easy and convenient charging. The device is housed in an aluminium case with heatsink design and it offers an LC display for monitoring the battery’s vital signs.

The Nero Fazon from Arrma mixes a sleek, low-profile design with innovative Diff Brain technology to optimize performance in any condition. Already proven in the best-selling Arrma Nero, the Diff Brain enables Nero Fazon racers to switch between four versatile driving styles (Blast, Wheelie, Drift and Climb) on the fly, right from the transmitter. Each style engages a special combination of the three gear diffs to achieve the best traction and handling for specific tasks and terrains. A unique feature is a standard wheelie bar that helps keep the front wheels in contact with the ground. A powerful BLX4075 2000kV 4-pole 6S brushless motor, dependable waterproof BLX200 ESC and interference-free Tactic TTX300 radio system add to the ready-to-run convenience.

Shepherd have announced a number of small updates for the Velox F1 for the 16/17 winter season. From now on the front lower wishbones will be machined from a stiffer carbon material for a more direct feeling of the car while the geometry of the upper wishbone mount has been updated to ensure freer movement of the wishbones.

Maclan Racing have introduced the MRR Team Edition electric brushless motors. Based on the popular MRR platform the Team Edition utilises Japanese made steel stator material for the short stack style rotors. Custom-made copper wire also has a higher temperature threshold along with maximum diameter allowed by ROAR regulations. Overall the Team Edition has an average four percent lower internal resistance compared to the standard MRR series motors. Also part of the TE package are all-new hall sensors that are more accurate while offering a much higher speed polling rate which will provide quicker throttle response with higher top speeds. The hand-built motors will become available by late November.

Coming from Arrowmax is the multi-nation travel adapter that allows to use AC devices in a range of countries. Offering Asian, UK, Europe and US plug pattern, the device also sport a USB port with a maximum of 2.1A output. New from Traxxas comes the 2017 Ford Raptor replica. The sleek Raptor body is fully detailed with an injection molded nylon composite grill and front bumper to truly capture the depth and detail of Ford’s original design. Integrated hood vents and side mirrors complete the look. The heavy-duty body is extra tough for all your off-roading adventures and is wrapped around the proven performance and unmatched durability of the Traxxas Slash. Power comes from the powerful Titan 12-Turn motor and XL-5 electronic speed control for instant response off-road. Full-ball bearings enhance precision control while the electronics are all fully waterproof so your fun never gets sidelined by a little water along the way.

Since its first release in 1992, Kyosho’s long selling Hanging On Racer model is still as popular as ever. The S.D.S.S semi direct steering system delivers high performance fully independent motion with the rider figure construction incorporating 13 different connections so it hangs on to the bike as it leans into corners. The result is driving performance just like a real motorbike that is easy enough for anyone to control. In addition, each section of the bike is designed with an incredible level of scale detail from the body cowl, inverted front fork suspension, brake disk and calipers, wheels, drive chain, sprocket and asymmetrical swing arm to recreate a model of display standard quality.

Picco have introduced their new high-end competition nitro engines in the form of the V1 Team DLC CER off-road and R1 Team DLC CER on-road engine. Starting with the off-road power plant, the V1 is the brand’s new top-of-the-foodchain engine and already achieved the Italian National Championship title in prototype stages in the hands of Marco Baruffolo. The engine features a new crankcase that is designed to be stiffer so that the absence of torsion allows for a more stable performance at any temperature while preventing RPM loss. On top of a 5-port sleeve, the V1 also features a longer stroke and a new crankshaft that received a DLC-coating treatment to ensure a very low crankpin wear while protecting the shaft from oxidations of any kind for a long life of the part. The carburettor now sports a double bottom-end adjustment for finer tuning and a better mixture flow, and the engine’s main bearing is of a high-quality ceramic type.
