Pro-Line have introduced their new Ambush 1/25 mini scale crawler. The palm-sized vehicle features full-time four wheel drive with solid axles and true leaf spring suspension, allowing it to tackle even the toughest climb. A 3mm steel ladder frame forms the solid base for the transmission and suspension and the black oxide coating makes for long lasting protection against the elements. Sleek chassis-mounted bumpers cap off each end for added protection. Each corner of the truck has a 3-leaf pack with working shackles and attaches to plastic friction shocks that limit down travel. The truck comes factory assembled with a Micro Torque brushed motor, a G9000 micro servo and an integrated ESC/receiver with an open 3rd channel port allowing for unique customisation or future 3rd channel option parts. Included is also a full proportional 2.4GHz radio and the package is rounded out by an open rollcage bodyshell, available in three designs, and Mini Flat Iron tyres mounted on Denali wheels.

SkyRC have introduced their new Toro X8 V2 electric brushless motor for 1/8th scale applications. The sensorless motor is housed in a CNC-machined T6 billet aluminium heatsink can and it is of a 6-pole, 18-slot stator design for a high-torque, high-power output. Utilising super high conductance silicon wires, a sintered neodymium magnet rotor and high purity copper windings the motor also offers high efficiency for low operation temperatures. The X8 V2 is available in a 2100kv and a 2400kv variant soon.

Arrowmax have introduced a special tool set for the Tamiya 1/32 Mini 4WD vehicles. The tailor-made set includes all necessary tools, wrenches and gauges to build, maintain and tune Tamiya’s popular Mini 4WDs. Included are tools like a pinion and wheel puller plate, puller extension, wheel piercer, 1.8mm, 1.9mm and 2.0mm hand drill, hex and nut drivers as well as a dedicated tool holder and a setup board. The tool handles sport Arrowmax’ signature honeycomb design and the set is available in black, orange and gun metal colour.

JConcepts are busy releasing more 1990’s monster truck bodyshells with the latest offering being the 1993 Ford F-250 SuperCab. Resembling the popular ninth generation truck, the body drops on a variety of long monster trucks which range from 12.5″ to 13” wheelbase. Included come a comprehensive decal sheet, window masks and also an attachable Racerback.

Team Corally have introduced their new Factory Pro Tools range of metric tools and wrenches. All make use of 22mm diameter aluminium handles that sport coloured end caps and easy-to-replace hardened spring steel tool tips. The range includes 1.5mm to 3mm hex wrenches, 4mm to 8mm hex drivers as well as four cross head and two blade type screw drivers.

JConcepts have introduced the Finnisher bodyshell for the Team Associated RC8T3 and T3e. Winner of the 2016 ROAR National Championship in the hands of Spencer Rivkin, the body features a slight cab forward, raked windshield and aggressive stance. A wide front hood scoop allows plenty of clearance for front suspension and the body incorporates a large center fin which begins on the roof line and finishes just past the half-way point on the bed. An extended front chin spoiler, headlight and grill protect the front-end from unwanted up-drafts during flight. The body incorporates pre-dimpled body post locations and it also includes champion rear name plates which provide additional high-speed stability and improved positioning of the rear bed rails to strengthen the assembly. Overall handling has been improved by balancing the bias between the cab location and rear wing placement which control the majority of the aero affects of the aggressively styled body.

JConcepts have introduced the S2 bodyshell and Aero wing package for the Team Associated B6 buggy. Slammed overall height allows the S2 to whisk through the turns with a low centre of mass while the progressive cab design provides plenty of front-end force for balance and steering. A channeled roof directs the flow through the center of the body while also increasing the rigidity of cockpit. The dual side-window design that has become famous on the JConcepts bodies remains to bring a traditional feel to the layout. The upper side-pods feature distinct vents used to help relieve hot air build-up inside the body for those high-powered runs or hot days at the track. Carved and detailed side-pods edge the body giving the highly aero unit a stylish look with a tight fit and finish. Cut-lines are included on each side of the body to accommodate stand-up 3 or 4-gear and lay-down transmission layouts. Included with the body, that is available in a regular and light-weight version come two Aero rear wings.

O.S. Engine have introduced a special edition of their popular B2101 3.5cc off-road engine to celebrate the company’s 80th anniversary. The limited Las Vegas Edition sports five stars and stripes on its cylinder head – each one representing an O.S. IFMAR Worlds victory. Otherwise the engines relies on the proven B2101 design with a DLC-coated crankshaft balanced with tungsten weights and a 21J carburettor.

Kyosho have released first information on the forthcoming Ultima RB6.6 1/10th 2WD buggy. The follow-up version of the World Championship winning RB6 will feature a new wide 7075 aluminium chassis in a long wheelbase configuration, adding 13mm on length compared to the standard RB6, making for improved stability. Right out of the package the 6.6 comes with a total of four gearbox configurations: rear motor and three mid motor layouts including stand-up 3-gear, stand-up 4-gear and low rider 3-gear. The battery tray system is usable with a range of battery configurations including straight type, shorty and saddle packs batteries. Also part of the package is a new steering crank design, Velvet-coated shock absorbers, front straight and rear gull-wing A-arms as well as a new high downforce cab forward bodyshell. We bring you more information and images on the car as soon as they become available.
