The 9-port power plant was developed with this year’s IFRMAR 1/8th Nitro On-road World Championship in mind with an updated liner and piston increasing overall torque while the DLC-coated crankshaft offers improved transition between low and high RPM. The engine also sports a new combustion camber insert with a silicone O-ring, adapted from O.S. Engine’s off-road engines, preventing dust and dirt contamination. Leadfinger Racing have introduced a new heavy duty variant of their popular Strife body shell for the Tekno RC ET410 4WD truck. The new thicker version is moulded from the same material used for Leadfinger Racing’s 1/8th scale bodies, meaning more longevity for racing and bashing applications. As usual the body comes clear, including window masks and a decal sheet.

Coming for the Traxxas TRX-4 Sport is JConcepts’ new 1982 GMC K10 12.3” wheelbase truck body shell. For the early 80’s model year, the iconic square body emerged, a chiseled front-end, gently swept back from the center. Fenders were redesigned as well as the hood and the classic vent windows. A new sloped hood replaced the previous generation hood that had less rake, and the exterior changes include optional headlights and an updated tailgate. Built from high-quality 100C high-voltage LiPo cells the battery offers a high capacity and low internal resistance, ideal for demanding off-road applications and long main finals. The translucent 138x46x48mm hardcase is equipped with 5mm power connectors and an integrated 5-pin XH balancer port, doing away with the fiddly wire balancer ports of most 4S packs. Coming from World Champion Products is the VS Racing VSR03-EV2 3.5cc nitro on-road engine. Based on the O.S. Speed R2103 the super-long stroke engine is developed for high-class competition use and it features a 7-port design, CNC-machined piston and a 14mm “Rody” modified and DLC-coated crankshaft. New to the EV2 variant are optimised modifications to the crankshaft as well as a new combustion camber insert with a silicone O-ring that ensures a cleaner area between the cooling head and the crankcase. The engine is available separately or as combo set including VS2098 or VS2069 exhausts.

Kyosho have revealed first images and information on their forthcoming new MP10T 1/8th scale nitro truggy kit that will hit stores by the end of August. The main chassis is a 3mm 7075 aluminium plate with hard anodising and improved flex characteristics. Engine/fuel tank, servos, RX box and battery box have move forward for optimal weight balance.
