TRF Series

TRF417X

Item No:42205

Tamiya Racing Factory (TRF) team's ace driver Marc Rheinard won the 2010 IFMAR World Championship with the TRF416X. In December of the same year, the TRF417 was released and it has achieved equally impressive results at various top-level international R/C races. With an eye on winning the upcoming 2012 IFMAR World Championship, Tamiya is introducing this latest iteration of the TRF417, the TRF417X. Although the differences between the new car and the TRF417 may seem subtle, the newly-designed lower deck offers improved chassis flexibility for better low-speed traction. The previous one-piece motor mount has been replaced by a three-piece type to allow further adjustment of chassis' flexibility by linking them together. The thickness of the front and rear damper stays have been increased to 3.5mm and other new developments include a new upper deck, metal battery holders which serve as counterweights, and low-height kingpins. A front direct coupling and rear gear diff unit (Item 42197 TRF417 Gear Differential Unit II) are also included.

1/16 R/C Tank Series

1/16 R/C German Tiger I Early Production Full-Option Kit (w/Detail-Up Parts)

Item No:84273

【 Tiger in the Sand 】 This 1/16 scale limited edition R/C German Tiger I Early Production kit comes with extensive detail-up parts to enable realistic depiction of a tank that was deployed to the North African desert. Aluminum gun barrel and photo-etched grilles provide an enhanced level of realism. 2 types of parts for mantlet, air cleaners, and hatch underside are included. Of course, this model also features the various light and sound effects which Tamiya's R/C tanks are famous for.

【 2 kinds of Engine Starting Sounds 】 Actual Tiger I tanks used an automatic engine starter or a manual crank to prevent battery over-discharging in cold areas. Tamiya's R/C Tiger I also features these sounds. Turn on the transmitter first to hear manual crank start sound and turn the receiver first to hear automatic engine sound. For further realism, the model reproduces a manual crank start sound at low temperatures regardless of which unit is switched on first.

【 Authentic Engine Sounds 】 The only working King Tiger tank in the world is on display at the Saumur Tank Museum in France. Since the Tiger I used basically the same type of Maybach powerplant, Tamiya designers made their way to France to record all the sounds of this 700hp V12 powerplant, including battery start-up, crank start-up, fly-wheel sound, etc. in order to provide a greater level of enjoyment.

【 Specifications 】 ●1/16 Scale ●Length: 530mm ●Width: 232mm ●Height: 188mm ●Fully-Loaded Weight: 4,100g ●Lower Hull: Reinforced Plastic with 1mm thick Duralumin Frame ●Die-Caset Drive Sprockets, Idler Wheels, and Suspension Arms ●Realistic Torsion Bar Spring Suspension ●Pre-Assembled Gearboxes with Type 380 Motors ●Pre-Assembled Plastic Tracks ●Movable Turret Hatches ●DMD Control Unit T-03 features setting functions such as Steering Trimmer and Fail Safe.

Limited Edition R/C Product

1/10 R/C Hotshot(2007)Metallic Special

Limited Edition R/C Product

【 Golden Legend 】 In 2007, Tamiya brought back the legendary Hotshot R/C buggy and this limited edition version features a gold-plated polycarbonate body and rear wing to result in an even more eye-catching appearance. The body and rear wing have been pre-trimmed to prevent damage to the plated surfaces.

【 Modern Improvements 】 While the shaft-driven 4WD setup, front/rear double wishbone suspensions, and adjustable mono-shock oil dampers remain the same as the original, the drivetrain features modern dog bone type propeller shafts for enhanced reliability. The oil dampers have been changed to the more modern diaphragm type as well. Also, with the use of a modern ESC, the original Hotshot's rear aluminum heat sink was no longer necessary. However, the Hotshot would not look the same without it, so our solution was to install a dummy part to remain faithful to the original look.

【 Specifications 】 ●Length: 390mm ●Width: 235mm ●Height: 150mm ●Weight: 1,270g ●F/R Tread: 194mm ●Tire Width/Diameter: 28/82mm (Front), 34/82mm (Rear) ●ABS Monocoque Frame ●Shaft-Driven 4WD ●F/R 3-Bevel Differentials ●2-Piece Steering Tie-Rod ●4-Wheel Double Wishbone Suspension ●Gear Ratio=8.1:1, 10.04:1 ●Type 540 Motor ●Requires an Electronic Speed Controller (sold separately)

【 Separately Required Items 】 ●2-Channel R/C Unit with ESC ●Battery Pack & Charger ●Batteries for transmitter

1/35 Military Miniature Series No.323

Israeli Tank M51

Item No:35323

【 Old Tank, New Gun 】

During the 1960's, the Israeli Defense Forces upgraded their M4A1 Sherman tanks by equipping them with the powerful French 105mm CN-105-F1 tank gun and they were redesignated as M51s. A muzzle brake was installed to minimize the greater recoil effect and a large counterweight was fitted to the rear of the turret to offset the long barrel. The 460hp diesel engine and the combination of the Horizontal Volute Spring Suspension (HVSS) and wider T80 tracks gave the M51 improved mobility. During the Six-Day War in 1967, the M51s were used against newer T-54/55 tanks as well as JS-3 tanks from Egyptian, Iraqi, and Syrian armies and proved their superiority.

【 About the Model 】
