Tyrrell P34 Six Wheeler 1977 Monaco GP

【 Relive the 1977 Monaco GP 】 The Tyrrell P34, the only 6-wheeled F1 race car ever to compete in the history of F1, caused a sensation when it was introduced in 1976. It achieved a 1-2 finish at Rd.4 Swedish GP, which contributed to the team's 3rd place overall finish for the seaon. This is a 1/10 R/C assembly kit model of the Tyrrell P34 that raced at the 1977 Monaco GP. This car had a different rear wing and engine cover than the car which raced at the Japan GP and the model accurately reproduces these features.

【 F103-Based 6-Wheeled Chassis 】 The high performance direct drive 2WD chassis has a semi-double deck layout with 1.5mm thick upper and 2.5mm thick lower FRP plates. The kingpin and coil spring 4-wheel independent front suspension consists of a one-piece lower arm and left/right upper arms. One servo controls the steering of all four front wheels. The rear suspension features a rigid T-bar suspension with a coil spring and friction plate. The spur gear has a built-in ball diff that provides a limited slip effect. In addition, both front and rear wheels are equipped with high-grip sponge tires.

【 The 7th-Generation Silvia 】 The 7th-generation Nissan Silvia S15 released in 1999 offered sporty performance and became immensely popular as a base car for tuning. It was powered by a front-mounted 4-cylinder turbocharged engine capable of 250hp matched with a 6-speed manual transmission. This popular sports car has been reproduced in 1/12 scale on the rear-wheel drive M-06 chassis, which features a short wheelbase of 210mm. The sporty form of the Silvia has been realistically reproduced by the polycarbonate body and separately molded rear wing parts enhance the model's presence. Stickers to depict head and tail lights and window masking stickers are included as well.

【 Improved RR Performance 】 The M-06 chassis features a Rear-Mounted Motor, Rear-Wheel Drive layout with a longitudinally-mounted battery pack and R/C units positioned on either side for optimum balance and low center of gravity. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is equipped with 60D radial tires at the front and 60D super grip tires at the rear. In addition, a 3-piece steering linkage offers nimble handling response.

【 Tuner-Styled Off-Road Racer 】 This 1/10 scale R/C buggy Leonis features the newly-designed DB02 chassis, which has a highly-efficient shaft-driven 4WD system and excellent controllability thanks to a horizontally-positioned motor near the center of the chassis. It also features an aerodynamic body shell which was designed by famous Japanese racing team and tuning firm, TOM'S. The "cab forward" body follows design trends found on actual race cars to reduce drag as well as direct smooth airflow to the rear wing to further enhance the machine's performance.

【 Unique Shaft-Driven 4WD Layout 】　The well-balanced DB02 has a drivetrain design which utilizes four bevel gears to transmit the motor power to the front and rear gearboxes via propeller shafts. A highly durable one-piece die-cast motor mount holds the motor and spur/bevel gears while front/rear enclosed gearboxes feature ball differentials which utilize the same inch-sized diff balls as those used in the high-end TRF502X. The proven 4-wheel double wishbone suspension from the DB01 is equipped with CVA shock units. A wide range of existing DB01 Option Parts are also compatible with the DB02 to enable fine setting adjustment.

【 Taking on the Porsche 935 】 Based on the Toyota Celica Lift Back 2000GT, the Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 was created to comply with the Group 5 racing category rules. A 2,090cc 560hp engine powered the lightweight machine and it defeated Porsche's 935 Turbos to seize an impressive victory at Round 4 Belgium during the 1977 German DRM season. Tamiya's R/C model of the Toyota Celica LB Turbo Gr.5 faithfully reproduces the car's long-nose, short-deck form with polycarbonate, while the rear wing, rear wing plates, and headlight parts are separately molded for enhanced realism. Included markings allow depiction of car No.68.

【 As Super As Ever 】 Tamiya originally released a special version of the R/C 4WD racing buggy Hotshot in 1986. This famous machine is set for a return as the Super Hotshot and features modern improvements while keeping the basic layout of the original. Distinctive external features such as the stylish silver body and rear wing, yellow oil dampers, and spiked tires with gold metal-plated wheels have also been kept.

【 Modern Updates 】　The chassis maintains original features of the Super Shot, including the durable ABS monocoque frame, roll cage, and underguard. At the same time, full ball bearings minimize friction loss as power from the horizontally-mounted motor is transmitted to all four wheels via dog-bone type drive shafts. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is equipped with oil dampers which allow 3 adjustable spring tensions to match track conditions.
