Kawasaki Ki-61-Id Hien (Tony)

In Desperate Defense
The Hien was officially adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) in 1943, and stood out among its Japanese aircraft contemporaries in the Pacific War on account of its liquid-cooled Ha-40 engine, slimline fuselage and long, elegant wing. A number of different variants were produced, among them the Ki-61-Id which featured a 20cm-elongated nose to house 20mm cannons, plus 12.7mm machine guns in the wing. In fact, with 1,360 units it was the most prolifically produced Hien variant; its superior performance at higher altitudes meant that it was often given the brief of taking on incoming U.S. B29 bombers in the skies around the home islands of Japan. One IJA unit which notably deployed the Hien was the 244th Air Group led by Captain Teruhiko Kobayashi.

Nakajima Hayate (Frank) & Kurogane Scenery Set

A Diorama Just Waiting to be Made!
Delivered to Imperial Japanese Army air units from April 1944, towards the end of the war in the Pacific, the Hayate was largely used in the interceptor role, taking on B-29 bombers and carrier-based attackers. The Type 95 Kurogane, meanwhile, is said to have been the world's first practical 4WD vehicle, and was a 3-seater was manufactured for military use from 1937, powered by a 1,400cc air-cooled engine that produced 33hp. The front wheels employed independent suspension, while the rear was a leaf-sprung setup. All told, around 4,800 were manufactured between 1935 and 1944, and they served the Japanese military through China, South-East Asia and in various areas in the conflict throughout the Pacific.
Both of these subjects are recreated with accuracy and efficiency, making them an ideal choice for beginner and veteran modelers alike. Also included is a handy base to make your own diorama on, plus a sheet which realistically depicts a grassy surface.

Aero Manta Ray White Special (AR Chassis)

Pretty in Pink!
This is a plastic model assembly kit of a high-performance mini 4WD racer. A special edition version of the Aero Manta Ray, the third car in the Mini 4WD REV series, it takes a combination of white and pink as its theme. The body is molded in Pearl White ABS resin and decorated with Pink and Green metallic stickers, which are offset by a vivid Magenta version of the monocoque AR chassis. Further Pink parts include the low friction underpanel and diffuser, as well as shiny matte-plated 5-spoke wheels fitted with White arched tires. Race this machine and you really will be pretty in pink!

AR Chassis
The AR chassis is designed to offer its driver durability, customizability and ease of maintenance, all of which are vital ingredients for a successful Mini 4WD racer. Its aerodynamic form smoothly allows air to pass through the chassis interior as the machine runs, performing the vital function of cooling the batteries and motor and extending their effectiveness. The air intakes on the chassis and body are integrated for optimal performance. This high-speed racing chassis also features low-friction plastic bearings to ensure that any loss of power from the engine to the wheels is minimal in nature. The underpanel and diffuser can be removed from the model without taking off the body, while a low-friction rear skid bar is fitted to slash time loss experienced on tricky slope sections, and keep the racer on the track where it belongs. Features a 4.2:1 gear ratio.

Green Machine
This is a special version of the Heat Edge, the Mini 4WD PRO car which features a body bringing to mind a modern prototype racing car with shark fin which stretches from the cockpit to the stylish rear. This kit sees the Heat Edge given an Gun Metal color ABS body, and Green/Blue motifs provided by the included metallic stickers. The high-performance MA chassis is molded in Light Gun Metal, with Black A Parts. Fluorescent Green fin-type wheels are paired with Black super hard low-profile tires.

The Ultra-Efficient MA Chassis
The MA (Midship AERO) Chassis has its motor in the center, and features a design which focuses upon achieving outstanding aerodynamic performance. It has a gear ratio of 3.5:1, six individual low-friction rollers, a rear skid bar and other speedy features developed thanks to years of design experience.
