As part of its early New Year releases, Tamiya has announced the TA08R 1:10 4WD Electric Touring Car kit.  The TA08PRO receives the limited-edition treatment in the form of the TA08R by adding a plethora of key Hop-Up Options right out of the box along with a few parts only available in this edition.  The kit gets new a new 2.0mm carbon fibre upper deck thats connects front and rear bulkheads for pitch rigidity and utilises a 630-ball bearing at the rear for roll rigidity.  New front and rear aluminium upper arm mounts provide enhanced rigidity.  A new aluminium motor mount has two screw-attached, upper deck attachment points.  The rear body mount are also new and uses carbon fibre plates and aluminium posts, and limits body wobble and ensures stable rear traction. Body mount extensions allow attachment of bodies of different heights.  New additional ribs on the lower deck limit its deformation for superior suspension performance and help limit damage after unexpected crashes.  Finally, new aluminium wheel hubs limit wheel deformation and ensure stable tire grip.

After a successful debut performance at the JConcepts Florida Carpet Championships last weekend, Xray has officially unveiled its latest 1:10 2WD Buggy, the XB2 ’24.  Key new features of the buggy, which is sold in Carpet and Dirt spec kits, include a new one-piece chassis design with integrated kick-up that eliminates the lower brace and improves suspension geometry.  The wider chassis shape fits the latest batteries and has a milled pocket under the servo area for improved flex and optional weight placement.  The kits’ chassis lengths are selected to match typical track conditions – Medium for Carpet or Short for Dirt.  New elevated side braces improve flex characteristics and integrate with the new front upper deck.  A completely new front upper deck’s bridge design integrates with the new steering system and moves the shock tower forward with the shocks behind the tower.  The new anti-roll bar mounting system eliminates play for more consistent handling.  Another improvement on the ’24 model is new steering plate, steering arms and posts that provide a wider range of geometry adjustments and improved steering response for easier control.

New from Italian bodyshell producer Mon-Tech Racing is the P-963 1:10 190mm body.  The latest addition to their range of Hyper Car LMH series based bodies, the P-963 has can be mounted on all the latest generation 1:10 Touring Cars and on the Formula chassis with a 260mm wheelbase.  The kit includes all the stickers, the masking along with the fixing screws for the wing.

New from US Drag Racing specialists Exotek Racing is their TX Drag Slash carbon fibre chassis conversion set.  The Lightweight ‘Street Eliminator’ drag chassis conversion set is intended for use with Traxxas Drag Slash, 2WD Slash or Bandits kits and vonverts your Drag Slash to be race ready for the ‘Street Eliminator / Slash No Prep’ race class.  It provides the legal 13″ wheelbase to fit under the hottest new no prep bodies that are on the market.  This pro chassis conversion set features a 4mm thick glossy carbon fibre chassis deck, centralized servo mounting for improved balance and a simplified direct to servo steering for less slop and reduced weight.  The kit contains a 4mm thick rear gear box riser to lower the chassis ride height.  You also get multi position shorty lipo mounting to adjust for wheelie/ no wheelie balance as well as multiple weight balance options to maximise grip on the street or on the track. Hasi Tuned has announced that its new 7R and 9R .21 onroad engines are now available.  Compared to the current engines the main feature of the new 7R and 9R is in the material of the cylinder.  As previously featured here on Red RC, the new engines are equipped with an aluminium sleeve (AAC) instead of brass (ABC).  A new red cooling-head  and new graphics immediately identify the new engines.  Similar to the brass models, these were also tested over several months before release on the market in order to guarantee, as per Hasi Tuned policy, a product of high quality, easy to use, without compromising performance.  Like for the ABC cylinders, the new AAC version can be fitted on any OS base engine starting from the R2101 and ending with the R2105.

World and European Champion engine tuner Ielasi Tuned has announcement that their GP9R23 Spec2 .21 1:8 Onroad engine becomes the GP9R23 WC.  Compared to the previous version, the WC version differs only in one detail which was successfully tested at the World Championship in Japan by their official team drivers.  That part is the new engine backplate with revised internal workmanship that further optimises the performance/consumption ratio.  The WC version of the GP9 was a must after the excellent results obtained at the World Championship where it achieved the TQ with Simon Kurzbuch and a double podium with Toni Gruber finish P2 and Kurzbuch P3.

Like it’s sister brand Matrix Racing Tires’ move into the 1:8 Offroad market, Italian company Xtreme Aerodynamics has announced its first 1:8 Buggy body shell with the release of the Aria.  Announcing the body shell on social media, they said, ‘After several months of hard work with our R&D department we are able to show a new 1:8 Offroad Bodyshell who moves up the standard of performance in terms of Aero details and Model Balancing’.  The body is available in light and ultra light lexan options and is available pre-cut for the Associated RC8B4, HB Racing D8 WORLD, Mugen Seiki MBX8R, Serpent SRX8PRO, Sworkz S35-4EVO and Xray XB823.

Hong Kong electric onroad chassis manufacturer Xpress has announced the release of an entry level version of its M-Chassis, the Arrow AM1S.  Launching the shaft driven AM1, which is a M-Chassis size version of its Arrow AT1 1:10 electric touring car, back in June, the AM1S kit has been made more economical through the use of fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) for the Main Chassis and Top Deck instead of carbon fibre.  The car also gets a more tradition shock tower set-up using FRP shock towers.  The AM1S features 4WD Shaft Drive Floating Gearbox System with a sealed transmission gearbox with drive via composite instead of aluminium propeller shafts.

Serpent has announced its latest 1:10 Touring Car with the release of the Medius X20 ’24 that will be offered in carbon and aluminium chassis version kits.  The 1:10 Touring car market has changed with some new and innovative designs and Serpent have been working hard on their latest and best EP touring car yet.  New and improved suspension geometry give maximum rotation.  A newly engineered aluminium rear diff, along with a completely new designed rear upper arm link setup providing increased adjustability.  The car gets new style flex shock mounts with included 13mm shocks.  Also with the new style split top deck the flex is adjustable like never before.
