Antenna Heads – Sanwa M11DSSS & MX-3FHSS

Tuesday, 08 February 2011 16:14 Published in Sanwa

When Spektrum RC introduces the 2.4GHz transmitting technology to RC some four years ago the RC world was pleased to see the ever feared radio glitches be not a problem anymore since the “spread spectrum” technology got rid of the usual interchangeable crystals used in conventional transmitters. The radio just needed to be switched on and within milliseconds looked for a free frequency to use. Absolute space age!

Tuesday, 08 February 2011 16:13 Published in Sanwa

Sanwa, or Airtronics as they are known to others, have released details on their new M11X. This the first of the M11 family to have the 2.4Ghz system integrated into the transmitter, before opting to have just adifferent module. The Japanese company claim that their new 2.4 system is 3 times faster then previous versions, making for a much more responsive system. The radio itself has only received some small cosmetic changes, due to the integration of the 2.4 system and now features a top mounted stubby aerial.

Sanwa SDX-801 Low Profile Servo

Tuesday, 08 February 2011 16:11 Published in Sanwa

Sanwa’s new SDX-801 is so small (40.5×21x26.5mm) it can be placed in any R/C car chassis without any problems and at the same time lower the cars overall weight and center of gravity. Due to the small weight of only 50g the SDX-801 is also perfect for today’s touring cars where left/right chassis balance is a huge problem due to racing with LiPos or 5-cell NiMH batteries which creates overweight on the electrical side of the chassis. Expect it to take 0.08s to turn 60° @ 6.0V, while at the same voltage, able to achieve 6.4kg/cm.

Sanwa have released 2 new servos, the HVS-ZV and HVS-ZS. These extremely strong and fast servos are optimised for both 6.0V and 7.4V and is therefore ideal for use with nitro models, where normally a voltage regulator is mandatory. Double isolated to protect against humidity, and ball raced, the ZV can manage 24.2kg per cm and can complete 40 degrees in 0.08s. while the ZS does 20.5kg per cm and the same range in 0.07s, at 6 volts.

Sanwa MT-4 2.4Ghz transmitter

Tuesday, 08 February 2011 16:07 Published in Sanwa

Sanwa have released CAD images of their soon to be released MT-4 pistol grip transmitter. An all new look, this 2.4Ghz radio sports a large full dot LCD display and all the usual features you would expect from a radio of this level. What’s interesting is the inclusion of a telemetry system that can read receiver voltage, RPM and 2 different temperatures and feed it back to the screen on the transmitter. Expect it to hit the market later in the year.
